I'm trying to give members easy access to their own contact view page (contact/view?reset=1&cid=175) so they can view/edit memberships, activities, events, etc. The only way I can see to do this is to search members and click on their record. Can it be added to the contact dashboard, or would a navigation link need to be added? Thanks.

you really want them editing their contribution records etc? have you thought of adding Profiles to the Edit User so they can just edit the information that you do want them to change?

Good point. So I have a profile set up with several custom fields. How to add a link for a member to edit his/her own profile? Thanks.

So, this was probably too obvious for experienced users, but I found it counter-intuitive. I was expecting a /contact/view/ type of display for non-admin members to view and edit certain information. But as noted above, /contact/view/ is meant to be administrative and would expose too much to non-admins. Since profiles can be exposed via the drupal My Account page (my custom fields are set up in a profile), the easy solution is to display the My Account link for members. Just be sure that the profile settings allow access to any groups you might be using, or the My Account page will not display.
