Hi!

I'm very new to CiviCRM (just some hours), and to gettext/Pootle, but I have already started to make some corrections in the Swedish translation, mainly in the front end for CiviEvent (to start with) while I learn the software and evaluate if I can use it for something fun...  Smiley

There are quite a lot of small problems in the translation so I believe that no one in Sweden actually is using CiviEvent with a Swedish user interface right now. This can surely be changed!

However, it is not easy to choose the right words in the translations all the time. If there are any Swedish users here (Hej!), who would like to discuss translations (mainly), then I really would like to get in touch!

And thanks to all that has worked on this system! I have used just a tiny bit of it, but it really feels solid. Thanks!

Best regards,
Walter

Hi, I saw your changes (and committed it to our old repository) – much appreciated!

You caught us in the middle of transition to a new translation tool (sorry!), one we deem much better for various reasons. A blogpost (and forum announcement) about it is forthcoming, but you can already go to our new home at Transifex and create a Swedish team (and so become a language team maintainer!).

Note: we have a ‘no string left behind’ policy, so none of your work in our old translation system will be lost (I’ll merge it to our Transifex install).

Let us know if you have any questions/issues or if we can help you in any way – and, again, thanks for your interest in and work on the Swedish translation!

Hej Walter!

Have you continued your work on the swedish translations? I could team up with you on Transifex.
