IE Javascript error on Event with custom data

Hello, I couldn't find an existing issue for this.
On the 3.2 sandbox, I did the following:

• create a custom field set and field for the ABC Conference Event
• went to Register Event Participant
• selected the ABC Conference in the Event dropdown list
• got the following error on IE 8 (don't get the error on Firefox 3.6.6) and did not get the custom field to show up
• in addition, if the custom field is required, can't save the registration (gives the required field error)
