Default country not showing in a Contribution Form

Hi - default country is set to US - on Contribution form Country field shows as 'select'

May not be a 3.2 issue - and may not be easily sorted - but thought it was the time and place to flag it. Hope that is okay

Do you mean set default for profile or billing block?

I meant US was set as Default Country in Localisation - and expected that would act as default when the field is exposed for use in create/edit profiles. Not the Billing.

FWIW, it is the same in 3.1.5-- the billing country is blank by default, even when a default country is set.

you might want to check and ensure that this bug is still present in 3.2

if important to you/your org, please consider investigating and figuring out a patch. if you are not a developer, please consider hiring one from http://civicrm.org/professional/ to fix and improve the core code

this is a long standing bug. I usually fix with hooks, but that's obviously not the best way to address the root problem.

US is configured as the default country in localization settings, but that is not reflected in this contrib page.
