Process Bounces failed

Every time the "Bounces fetcher" scheduled job runs, i get these results in the log:

Summary
Starting execution of Bounces fetcher

Summary
Finished execution of Bounces fetcher with result: Failure, Error message: Process Bounces failed


Civi is logging into the mail account and moving the messages to the "processed" box, so I don't think it's a configuration issue.   Also it worked fine in 4.0.8.

Edit: Also I can't reproduce on the sandbox, because the sandbox doesn't have a real mail account to work with.  Running the job there results in a different error.
