Petition doesn't show up

Hi,

I created a petition according to the instructions. Created 2 profiles with their field sets and custom fieldset for the Activity profile. I can preview both these profiles.

As far as I can tell, everything is set to Active but when I go to Campaigns>>>Petittions>>>More>>Sign, I get the Civicrm error page (Error: CiviCRM-001) instead of said petition.

I'm in Joomla 1.7.5 and the Joomla Access control permissions for Public has been set to "Allowed" for CiviCampaign: sign CiviCRM Petition. I'm at a loss and looking for some known causes and solutions if there are any.

Yup. And I get the exact same result. So I'm either doing something consistently wrong or there's something else amiss. I'm betting on the former.

I went through the petition creation process again on my end. I just can't see what I'm doing wrong.

Found the problem. So if anybody else is stuck where I was:

In the custom profile you're created make sure that you set the email field to "Primary" and not "Home." That made all the difference for me.
