I'd like to find out if I can hire someone to help install and configure CiviCRM. Hope this isn't against the rules.

It is not against the rules :-) You should be able to find someone here....can you be a little more specific? What are your requirements, just installing or hosting too? What do you want to achieve with CiviCRM? What are you expecting to pay? Whereabouts are you located and do you expect the guy or girl you hire to be local?
