We're using Paypal website payments standard, CiviCRM 4.1.2, and Wordpress 3.3.2

Without Paypal payments - the email confirmation works perfectly. This same problem was posted a few months ago without resolution. I'm hoping that someone has found a solution by now.

The Paypal notifications go out but not the notications for CiviCRM.

??? Please!  This needs fixed or a work around needs to be posted for those of us experiencing the same problem for months now.  You can use my latest post on the issue at http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,26785.msg113718.html

Thanks so much CiviCRM developers!  :)

We'll need a lot more details and help from WP folks to fix this.

The below workflow works fine for us on civicrm.org with paypal standard. We are having a training and camp right now and just used it in the past few days successfully

Please do consider investigating, debugging and submitting a patch when u find the bug

I did just notice that in my PayPal account IPN (Instant Payment Notification) was NOT enabled so I enabled that and put "http://www.gcmf.org" as the Notification URL so we'll see what that does.  I'm hoping someone renews their membership online today sometime to see if this change made a difference or not.  If this doesn't work then I'm assuming there could be a bug somewhere.  I did do a little reading (and I do mean little) about the IPN protocol PayPal uses and it's quite possible something has changed on PayPal's end breaking the workflow between CiviCRM.  I'm hoping by enabling IPN that there are no problems!   ;)  Wouldn't that be wonderful if it just works!  ;D  I'll keep updating the status of the situation here, but I don't know if I would ever be able to actually contribute a code change being that I am not a web developer but a Windows desktop programmer.  :-[

I have everything setup correctly in PayPal and in CiviCRM, but still NO email notifications!!   >:(   Is there a known bug with CiviCRM and is this going to be fixed in the next release?

My next plan of action is to try and create an automated email that goes out every day using a specific filter or custom search.  Is that possible at least??  Either though Mailings, Custom Searches, or an other methods.  I need something soon!  My client is beginning to think CiviCRM is not what I promoted it to be.  I do hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Thank-you!  :)
