error message when registering multiple participants for an event

Hi,

just looked around in the beta forum but could not find a simular problem. I created an event registration for which people can register multiple participants.
I activated the option to allow that, and added a profile for the extra participants where I only ask for their name, sirname and optionally email address.
I did not activate the option that allows multiple participants to be registered from the same email address.

it is a non-payable event (so no payment is configured)

the registration seems to work, I get the confirmation screen and email. I also get the BCC'd email to my webmaster address.
but upon showing the confirmation page I also get:

Notice: Undefined index: description in CRM_Event_Form_Registration->addParticipant() (line 896 of /home/xxxxxx/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Event/Form/Registration.php).
running Drupal 7.14 with php 5.3 and civicrm 4.2b4 (upgraded from 4.1.5 but the event I created did not exist prior to the upgrade)
