Screen/Report that show Individual with relationship to Org subtype/custom

(1/1)

bighudsonnut:
I am getting ready to launch my site with my CiviCRM database supporting my membership database for my club.  I need to figure out how I can have screens and reports developed that allow me to list:
1.   Individuals, who have current Memberships, with a relationship of “Owned by” with their Organization-Vehicle’ (vehicles were created as an Organization subtype with custom fields) custom fields.
For all or specific criteria:  Last Name, First Name, Membership Type, Membership Status
For relationship of “Owner of”
List all Organization-Vehicle  and select custom fields to display– Year, Make, Model, etc…
2.    For all or specific criteria: Organization- Vehicle fields (year, make and model), list the individuals with Membership Type (selected) and Membership Status (selected) who own them.
Queried Year, Make, Model
For relationship of “Owned by” and Membership Status (selected)
List all Individuals ( Last name, First Name,  Address, etc…)

I have a developer that can work on these but is there a way to add these reports and screen templates to CiviCRM so that they are available for all to use?

hi - may be frustrating but generally it is better to expand on your earlier post then replicate it elsewhere - most people who are likely to respond will spot it wherever.

probably helps if you flesh out what the purpose of the reports is

You can run Adv Search and set the 'output' (top right) to be relationships so you can see that info - and then export with the name of the Individual and their eg Current Employer (or vv)

Or there are existing Report Templates for Relationships that you can build your own requirement from

Some of us also recommend trying to pull complex info out through Views - but again it much depends on what the purpose/outcome is of getting the data showing. Eg if you want to have a monthly email via cron of a report then yes pretty much has to be a CiviReport

Thanks so much for responding.

The purpose of the report is a Roster Report of Individual Members and the vehicles (Org subtype) they own.

The reverse is what we call a Registry Report which lists for a certain vehicle (set of custom fields), the owners of those vehicles.

The main issue I seem to be having is that CiviCRM does not seem to want to list Individual records and then show Relationship linked Organization-vehicles.  I understand this could be a more complex query than comes as a template.  If I can't construct it via installed default reports, how can I have a developer build it and submit as a template for all to use?  I would think that others would have a need to pull up Current Members (individuals) and show Organizations/subtypes with custom fields that are associated with them.

You could try posting in http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/board,19.0.html
