Redirection to different page via Joomla login
June 17, 2014, 07:06:52 am
Hello,

We're an NGO which is about to implement Civicrm. So far we are very impressed about the possibilities, but there is one issue we havent found any solution for.  Can someone help us?

To explain it further:

We currently have two different registration profiles (individual and organization). We need both to register a Joomla account to be able to access our Joomla intranet. (edit profiles etc) This works fine, but we want them to be redirected into separate intranet pages.

I know it is possible to automatically assign the two different profiles into two different Civicrm groups in the profile setting, but is it possible to also assign them into two different Joomla ACL groups automatically? Is so then I can redirect them to the right page.

Or is it possible to do this in another way?

Example:

Individual (A) needs be redirected to Intranet page (A) on login.
Organization (B) needs to be redirected to Intranet page (B) on login.

Thankful for all help.

take a look at
https://github.com/lcdservices/CiviCRM-Group-Sync

note that the latest version is jooml 3.x compatible. if you need v2.5 you'll need to download v1.0 (see the tags)

Hi again and thanx for the link.  I think such a functionality should be standard in Civicrm:-)

However with my new Joomla 3.3.1 installation I can not make it work. I'm getting a failure message when trying to set a rule.
I put the message in the github issue section.

Have a good weekend!

You can do this using the K2 User login module that comes with the K2 content extension http://getk2.org/index.php
Document everything!
