drupal, views2 and civicrm integration
October 31, 2008, 08:25:13 pm
This blog area here shows a module to pull civi fields into drupal views2
http://civicrm.org/node/464#comment-3220
I want to bring the thread here as I try and figure out how to set it up and then move the how to into online documents.
I am testing w/ 2.1 do I need 2.2?
If not then why does views not show these fields as an option?
Where do you get these options? Relations, Arguments, Fields etc
Is is view type Node, User, Content ?
What version of Views 2 or just any?
Do I down load them to
modules/civicrm/drupal
using svn checkout http://svn.civicrm.org/civicrm/branches/v2.1/drupal/modules/ .

Thanks by the way for this great module!

1. get the latest version of views2 (6.x-2.1)

2. update all the files from: http://svn.civicrm.org/civicrm/branches/v2.1/drupal/ to the corresponding directory on your site. This includes civicrm.module

3. You do not need to copy any files anywhere

4. You'll see a few new top level types (contact, contributions etc). If not, make sure your views cache is emtpied etc (from views >> tools)

5. alternatively wait for 2.1.2 which will be out in the next week or so
