Error in CiviContribute after upgrade from 2.2.2 to 2.2.5

I got the error below after upgrading and creating a new form:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

DB Error: syntax error

Database Error Code: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND civicrm_contribution.is_test = '0' ) AND ( 1 ) GROUP BY contact_a.id' at line 11, 1064

Can someone please assist?

1. can u enable backtrace and debug (administer civicrm >> global settings >> debugging)

2. give us the complete backtrace and sql statement that causes the error

3. can u elaborate on "creating a new form"?

I did registration on your site ( http://www.motutapu.org.nz/index.php/getinvolved/volunteer/become-a-volunteer )
and I got registered successfully. ( do search for my contact in db )

Quite interesting - once more I have registered successfully ( email = k2.j2@y.com do check in your db ) 
better would be try to replicate issue on our public demo :  http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/

If issue persist give exact steps to replicate.

Hi Kiran,

I definitely do not have you in the Become a Volunteer database on our site. I have checked.

Are you sure that you completed the Become a Volunteer form on the following page: http://www.motutapu.org.nz/index.php/getinvolved/volunteer/become-a-volunteer

and submitted it... it is at the very last step that I get the error on the screen... I have replicated this issue on a number of other machines and it is definitely there...

I have also found that after the upgrade the CiviCRM system and frontend pages are very slow loading again... why would this be?

I suspect its related to contribution / membership signup page settings.
( create same profile w/ same fields and make same contribution page settings on demo and try to replicate )

My previous registration w/ (  email = k2.j2@y.com ) was successful and there was no confirmation page at that time.
Now I also got same bug that u reported  w/ same data I filled but interestingly there is confirmation screen come in to picture.

Test Case Scenario's :
1. My first registration = successful ( no confirmation screen in picture )
2. My second registration = successful ( no confirmation screen in picture )
3. My third registration = fail w/ error that u reported ( confirmation screen comes into picture )

from this test cases It seems like you are changing your membership signup / contribution page settings.
Also we did fixed suspected bug during :  http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-4568

Basically query getting break due to empty contribution id in where clause
(check here  contact_a.id = 14 AND  civicrm_contribution.id =  AND  civicrm_contribution.is_test = '0' )

Interesting thing is if your are doing free membership signup than how contribution id comes into picture.

can you update one or two fields from profiles those are used in membership signup page.
do not change anything just edit and save and check registration again.

once more :
1. can u enable backtrace and debug (administer civicrm >> global settings >> debugging)
2. give us the complete backtrace and sql statement that causes the error
3. also give 'group_type' from civicrm_uf_group for profiles those you are using. 
( make sure if you give backtrace and sql statement don't change any contribution page settings. )

would be great if you try to replicate on http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/ and give exact steps to replicate.
or if you are php savvy would be great if you debug and let us know root cause / steps.
or you might want to hire some one from : http://civicrm.org/professional/

I can not find you in the database at all, like you have never registered....

Hi,

Completed as requested... attached the Backtrace and SQL Statement..

This is the Profile Info I use in CiviCRM Profile:

Volunteer Signup   Individual,Contact,Contribution   4   CiviContribute, Profile    Active

The form we created for "Become a Friend" works perfectly... It is just this "Become a Volunteer" one that I am having issues with... Please check, I can provide access to the actual back-ed if required.

I did the upgrade to 2.2.6 and it has now been resolved... Thought I did it before...
