CiviHosting - The CiviCRM Hosting Experts

CiviHosting specializes in CiviCRM hosting on Linux servers (both shared and VPS) with a combination of very reliable service and excellent customer support. You have our guarantee that will not find better hosting, anywhere. If you are not satisfied with our service or support, for any reason whatsoever, we will refund your money. It's that simple.

We support all features of CiviCRM. Our servers are fast, very reliable and our support team is extremely professional. We furthermore take great efforts to keep your sensitive data secure, with layers of both physical and virtual security, 24/7. Our general IT security is world-class and I am not aware of one case of a data security breach.

Downtime is less than 0.01%--our current servers are all either presently boasting 100% uptime since inception or 99.9% for some.

We can also install Drupal or Joomla or WordPress and CiviCRM for you for a one fee of $20.

We've used CiviHosting for the last year and the customer service has been exceptional.  We're a small-medium sized org with limited IT budget and CiviHosting has let us get the most out of our CiviCRM install.  We happily recommend CiviHosting.com.

In a word, it's service with a smile  :)

CiviHosting provides the best shared hosting solution out there, for example with loads of PHP memory. I tried several providers, and was about to give up and move to VPS, but then discovered CiviHosting. They were the only one able to run CiviCRM on a shared server without a hitch and with great performance.

Beyond the hosting itself, the customer support CiviHosting provides is simply outstanding. We are a small shop with limited resource. For example, after migrating the site, we were in the process of setting up CiviMail. CiviHosting's customer support helped us setup without a hitch, taking a process that would have taken us 8 hours (including a required patch) and doing it free of charge in about 20 minutes.

Thanks Hershel and CiviHosting!

Re: CiviHosting - The CiviCRM Hosting Experts - experience

We're wanting to switch from a volunteer supported (me) shared hosting account to a service that will help give us some hosting and occasional consulting help.  I found www.CiviHosting.com on the CiviCRM resources page and are considering using their services.  Are others using www.CiviHosting.com and if so, what has your experience be.

We are still in the sales cycle, but so far Hershel has been very responsive and that he is a very active member of this discussion forum (including starting this post).

Dave,

I use CivHosting for all of my clients' sites (including my own) and Hershel is my primary developer for all of my Drupal/CiviCRM sites.  He is excellent and I recommend him highly.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Hershel,

I'm managing a VPS for a civicrm install and would like to wash my hands of it and thought that CiviHosting might be a pretty good option.  My only concern is that if were to move (we're Australia based) we would preferably move to an Australian based server to reduce latency etc. First I assume you don't have an Australian based server, so instead do you have a demo install for trying out response times etc.

Thanks,
Malks

Hi. I contacted Malks offline to share with him a demo site on our servers. We now also feature a VPS account, in addition to shared hosting. For any further questions about our services, feel free to contact me offline.

Thank you,
Hershel Robinson

Reporting back - CiviHosting - The CiviCRM Hosting Experts
September 13, 2011, 08:57:26 am
I'd like to report back that that CiviHosting.com converted our  Drupal 5 / CiviCRM 1.9 to Drupal 7 / CiviCRM 7.7 in just a couple of days.  We've been fretting about this for years.  I'm not sure if it is the better servers at CiviHosting, the new versions, rebuilt MySQL databases or a combination, but users are reporting that CiviCRM runs much faster.    For those stuck on old versions, this is an attractive option.

It is good to be in the "does CiviCRM" 7.7 really run that way?

- - - -
One tip.   Initially I "lost my head" and tried to bridge the domain for our administrative system between the old and new servers, so that I could run both and compare.  This created some confusion.  Once we set up a new administrative domain for the new version, things went much better.  This would only be a factor if you wished to run both the old and new versions simultaneously.   There may be other ways to do this.

Re: CiviHosting - The CiviCRM Hosting Experts

I am considering moving some of the sites I run to CiviHosting, since some of them have/want/need CiviCRM and we'll need real support in customisation and using CiviCRM.

The website does not mention how many (if limited) sites can be hosted in an account. It also doesn't say to what level the account will get CiviCRM support in configuration, etc.

Considering this is a 'super specialty' host, it would benefit them (and us users) plenty if they went further than most others in this specialised field. I'm sure if they did this, they'd walk away with a huge clientele.

Hershel, can you respond on these points? Thanks a ton! :)
Thanks.

All of our accounts support one website and one website only. Multiple domain names can be added, but they are “parked domains” not “add-on domains” which means that they all resolve to the same document root, i.e. the same website.

Regarding support in customisation and using CiviCRM, our hosting packages do not include such. The hosting itself is simply Linux hosting and any support regarding that, such as control panel assistance, emails, connectivity etc.

We can provide support in customisation and using CiviCRM on an hourly basis, however.

Anyone interested in details regarding that should contact us offline.

I am a part of a non-profit organization that does festivals. Our organization has grown by a large amount over the last 15 years and we needed a new system. We looked at other high priced software and Civi. I was leaning toward Civi, but I did not want to have to deal with the setup and hosting. When I found CiviHosting it was a perfect option for us. Hershel was extremely helpful answering all of my questions before we signed on. The customer service has been exceptional! He get's back to me right away and he guides me in the right direction if I am not sure about something. I feel confident and very secure knowing that he is there for me if I run into any problems or issues! I highly recommend CiviHosting for anyone that is new to CiviCRM.

CiviHosting continues to impress.  They have it "dialed in" and their support staff are prompt and competent.

How do you handle multisite installations with CiviHosting? I would like distinct sites for each one of the chapters.

Thanks!

CiviHosting does not support multi-sites on shared hosting accounts, only on VPS accounts. All accounts allow sub-domains, however.
