Drupal search to return current members
July 05, 2010, 01:25:58 pm
It seems like someone would have done this, but would like to have a search box on the web site home page for a search, and the search returns both content from the web site and current members in two separate sections for anonymous users.  Is there a simple way to do this?

Thanks,

Donald Lobo

this used to come up a lot, but kinda quieted down the past few year. i suspect u'll need to write a page that uses drupal search api (not sure if it exists) and civicrm search api (which does exist)

if you do so, please share your code so others can benefit. If you are not a developer, consider hiring one from http://civicrm.org/professional/

would be really cool to actually integrate all this with Apache Solr and then get Solr to index all "data" and extend the drupal modules as needed

I may have the same requirement in the near future. How are you planning to proceed?   I will post anything I find about the Drupal Search API to this thread.
