Having a 'Create User Record' for contact with no drupal account
September 29, 2009, 06:48:33 pm
When a Contact has a Drupal Account the Contact Record shows "View User Record".
What would be involved for people who do not yet have a User Record, to have a "Create User Record" button instead - which would ideally take the admin through to a User Registration page in Drupal that would be pre-filled with the primary address (and any other info that might be required in the civicrm reg profile)
- and preferably have the username able to be configured so it could be eg firstname.lastname - much as the User Import Drupal module does? http://drupal.org/project/user_import

I suspect 5-10 hours worth of work :)

the main issues would be to fill in the default values (for the drupal form) from the civicrm profile. Sending them to user/register might be an easier option to bypass the drupal permissioning issue (if redirected to admin create user page)
