October 11, 2009, 06:36:04 pm
When I search for a contact and then try to edit a field, i keep getting this message:

unrecoverable error
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

Could not find valid value for ct

    Return to home page.

Hey,

This probably means a problem with session - is it a new install or upgraded? Can you log out to clean the session and see if it persists?

Thx,
m

Just log out and log in again for the starters. You can also add &sessionReset=2 to your url.

Thx,
m

Hey,

Are you able to reproduce the same usage scenario on demo.civicrm.org, causing the same error?

Thx,
m

Go to http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/, log in as demo:demo and try to repeat steps which cause errors in your installation.

Not sure what you mean by "in the process of upgrading", but I can imagine incomplete upgrade causing such problems.

Thx,
m

Thanks.
I meant am upgrading from 3.0 to 3.0.1 at the moment, and will be able to clean out the sessions once more and see if the error occurs.
I will get busy with the demo stuff,
thanks once again

Thanks much.

Everything is working fine. I upgraded to 3.0.1 and cleaned out the sessions and cache.

Appreciate it.
