Hi,

I just got around to replacing this.  The latest beta appears to work for me.  I'm no longer getting any error messages when I debug.  Also it did move a test reply to the appropriate CiviMail/processed folder (which didn't exist before).

I don't have time to do a more complete test.  I'm still quite new to this so I don't have a backlog or items to process or anything to really verify all functionality yet.

Perhaps if you can provide more detail on how you tested?

I tested with this new component...

http://ezcomponents.org/files/downloads/ezcomponents-2009.2beta1-lite.tar.bz2

And entered this URL in the browser to force civimail processing...

http://example.com/sites/all/modules/civicrm/bin/CiviMailProcessor.php?name=username&pass=password&key=mykey

The first time I ran it I clearly got debug messages that it was processing mail.  I won't paste that here.  The second time I ran it I got a valid response and it clearly had no more mail to process.  Here's the second response...

connecting to imap.gmail.com, authenticating as processormail@example.com and selecting Inbox mailboxes found: Follow up, INBOX, Inbox, Inbox/CiviMail/ignored, Inbox/CiviMail/processed, Misc, Priority, [Gmail]/All Mail, [Gmail]/Drafts, [Gmail]/Sent Mail, [Gmail]/Spam, [Gmail]/Starred, [Gmail]/Trash got to the end of the mailbox

(above is appropriately redacted of course)

I stand corrected.  It does work, after all.  After I made the replacement I failed to "fix" my settings for the mail account, which I had changed previously when troubleshooting the original problem.  Once I changed my "source" back to the proper value, it worked like a charm.  Thanks so much for staying tuned in to this issue.  Highly appreciated.

Glad to hear it.  I had some time just now and I also tested it more thoroughly and all appears well.

I've updated the ticket in the Issue Tracker with this information so hopefully the new component will find it's way into civicrm as appropriate.

If anyone else has an opportunity to test the new component please comment on success or failure in this issue - http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5431

Hi,

I have downloaded the above mentioned archive but not quite sure how to implement it, could someone elaborate a little please?

CiviCRM appears to use only 3 of the 50 or so folders in the distribution, is it just a matter of replacing the folders contents with the new ones or does some compiling need to be done?

Gotta send out a newsletter real soon :)

Am going to try just replacing folder contents as they are quite similar - almost identical.

Will report back for those also wondering.

TIA.

Yes, simply replace the 3 folders currently used by CiviCRM with those same three from the components download.  At least that's what I did with successful result.

OK, so I know the folks on this thread are gmail folks!

Can I ask for your help on this issue?

http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,11199.msg48147.html#msg48147

I'm able to set up gmail to do all reply, opt-out, etc. handling, but NOT bounce handling.  I think bounces are just going to the wrong place (i.e. to my send address instead of to my reply processing address - I set up two gmail accounts, one as my organization send address, the other to process the replies).
