Progress not updated on larger operations - 3.1 Beta4
January 11, 2010, 08:51:17 am
Performing import on a relatively large file (5000 records) - "importing records" pops up (as expected) and hangs at 0%.

Opened up a different window in different browser after a while, logged in and saw that, despite the display "hang," the records were, indeed, imported - although the other window is still grinding away with progress at 0%.

Verified on test sandbox.

On my local install, I've successfully imported 100 records, so this clearly seems related to the size of the import.

Similarly, upon deletion of large amount of records (in my case, over 13,000), the process never "completes," though checking on alternate browser shows the records are, indeed, being deleted.

SUMMARY: Operations progress doesn't update with large amounts of data - there is no indication of whether process is successful or not.

Any ideas? Thanks!
