3.1.4, pixture_reloaded and Javascript problem
March 22, 2010, 01:59:33 pm
After upgrading to 3.1.3, I am now faced with the fact that Javascript does not work with the pixture_reloaded theme:

Code: [Select]
Javascript must be enabled in your browser in order to use the dashboard features.
This theme worked in 3.0.x, but had a problem in 3.1.2: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,12220.0.html. Perhaps this one is related.

4-5-2010: Changed the title as this is not solved in 3.1.4.

Can you clear your drupal cache / browser cache and also delete files/civicrm/templates_c and check if that helps

Deleting the cache does not solve it.

I am trying to delete templates_c. However, there's a conflict in permissions on my shared hosting which prevents me to delete the complete directory. I will ask my provider to delete and let you know whether this solves it.

Renamed the old templates_c to templates_c.old. Then reloaded CiviCRM, but still the Javascript does not work.

Might be some problem with your install. You should ping us on #civicrm irc channel.

I have tried to copy parts of the Garland theme to Pixture. When I copy the template and page files, the display is garbled, but the Javascript works. I'll try some further.

It seems to be a conflict with the 3.1.3 version and using superfish menus in PR. When I disable superfish menus in Pixture Reloaded, everything is fine.

I have tried another superfish theme, Chamfer, and this still works. So I have issued a bug report on the theme as well, as I do not know it this is something to be solved in CiviCRM or in PR (although the latest version of CiviCRM introduced it).

I'm seeing problems with 3.1.4 in every theme I've tried on two different sites (just upgraded today):

ZeroPoint
Hariyali
Antsin Blog Buzz
White Jazz
Acquia Slate

When I view a contact, I don't see tabs - I see a bulleted list. And clicking on a link such as "Contributions" in that list gives me a plain white page with the info in the top left corner. The rest of the site design (including nav) disappears.

I've cleared the Drupal cache and deleted templates_c for these two sites - no help.

Does anyone know which version of CiviCRM is the latest one that does not create problems with so many themes? I'm going to revert back till this is resolved.

Could you please check whether these themes duse superfish menus? If so, could you confirm that deactivating superfish menus solves the problem?

Most (but not all) of these themes use suckerfish but not superfish menus. I don't see a way to disable them from the front end. Acquia Slate has no dropdown menu at all.

I have debugged it and related it to the superfish combination. Is there a  way I can help in solving this?

Still having problems:
- I have disabled all modules, no luck.
- I have reinstalled Pixture Reloaded, no luck.
- I have seen that two jQuery versions were loaded (one from /misc: 1.2.6, one from CiviCRM: 1.3.2): deleted 1.2.6, no luck.

Are there any other ideas in debugging this?
