What Drupal theme are you using?

I'm having the same problem. It started in 3.3.0 in fact. I've upgraded from 3.1.4 (through all releases in between as this is my testing system). I'm going to do a fresh install of 3.3.1 to see if I can reproduce it.

I'm also using a custom Garland theme. I tried switching themes, both default Garland and Zen, but there is no difference, so I don't thing it is theme related.

Can you reproduce this bug on the demo: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/ ?

Yeah same for me on the demo site. Also on my fresh install I just did. Works fine on Firefox though. It is only Chrome I am having a problem with. Firefox version is 3.6.13, Chrome is actually Chromium, version 8.0.552.215 both running on Linux (Kubuntu 10.10). I've looked in the error console, and there is nothing there.

I also notice that none of the icons or tree lines appear if css and js optimization are turned on.

Great, thank you both. One of the team members should respond to this now, when they can.

Thanks. I'm happy to test anything if required. I'd love to have a bash at the problem myself, as there are a number of things in the Nav Menu editor that are less than ideal (IMHO). I might need a little pointer to the relevant files however, as I'm still learning my way around Civi/Drupal, although I'm well versed in php/js etc.

Ah, I see there is already a bug open for this: CRM-7202. I should have checked there first! It's due to be fixed for 3.3.2.

I saw this nonsense behavior upgrading from 3.2.5 to 3.3.1 with Firefox on Ubuntu Linux. Eventually the Civi memu started working properly again. I assumed I had flushed enough caches to shake the nonsense out of it.

Currently running FF 3.6.13 official Mozilla build and the Civi 3.3.1 menus seem to working properly.

That was a bit scary!

I just am finishing the 3.3.1 to 3.3.2 upgrade, and my main Civi Nav Menu was not populating until I emptied the Firefox browser cache and refreshed the main Civi page. THEN it loaded properly. Very weird.  ::)

Hi, we have  3.3.3 recently installed and same problem is happening. It's not showing the menu structure and stays in "loading". I saw that issue CRM-7202 is closed and fixed for version 3.3.2 but seems to be happening in 3.3.3. Any ideas?

thanks

Check your civicrm.settings.php file and what you have in your baseurl setting (search for CIVICRM_UF_BASEURL).
If you are using standard Drupal with CiviCRM installed in .../sites/all/modules/civicrm then it should not have any path after the domain name.

Sounds simple, but those are the most difficult sometimes.  Believe me, I know.

Hope that helps.

PS ... I would have added code example, but the forum would not allow it, what a pain. Gives error:
"Sorry, you are not allowed to post external links."
