Preserving search results selection across results pages
February 12, 2008, 04:55:14 am
I have a CiviCRM installation with a few thousand contacts.  Sometimes
search results span multiple pages.  I would like to be able to select
relevant contacts from the first search results page, go to the second
search results page and select more and have the action apply to all
selected contacts, not just the ones selected on that particular page.

Is this possible?  I imagine it would require an AJAX-like interface
for the search results (Gmail manages this, for example) to preserve
selections.

Many thanks!

it is possible but it has not been implemented as yet :( U can probably get by without AJAX for this (though your prev/next/lpha pager clicks need to be POST). This is in between a major and minor project and i suspect should take between 30-40 hours. While we are at it, we will probably also include previous / next links in View Contacts for the list of search contacts

If you can contribute a resource to make this happen, that would be great. We can help u get started on IRC

I second and third this. It is really cumbersome to have to apply actions one page at a time.

Thanks,
Cynthia
