fatal error cannot redeclare pear class

Hi. I searched and couldn't find info about this error, so I'm hoping someone has some ideas. Here's the error I get:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class pear in /home/mysite/public_html/katie/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/PEAR.php on line 103

Is it possible that some other code (other Drupal modules?) uses the PEAR classes?

Check that you don't have two copies of the civicrm codebase / civicrm.module sitting under your drupal installation.
