Dashlets still not loading in 4.3.1 on Wordpress.
April 18, 2013, 02:08:45 pm
After updating to CiviCRM 4.3.1, the issue I described here http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,28378.0.html remains largely unresolved.  Now, instead of getting error messages, I simply get the words, "undefined" where some of the dashlets ought to be. See attached image.

Update:

This is the error being generated in firegbug:  error:

"NetworkError: 500 Internal Server Error - http://www.mysite.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/ajax/dashboard&op=get_widget&key=f8e9c9e343b2906d7bd619f4a3d0655e&id=1"

This seems somewhat related to the issue reported here:

For a 500 error, there should be a message in the server logs. Can you find that message?

I found this article that discusses the above error messages  http://linuxpitstop.com/12cannot-allocate-memory-couldnt-create-child-process-optsuphpsbinsuphp-apache-error/.

Given that this issue suddenly started with the upgrade to 4.3.0, should I take it that there are some resources within CiviCRM 4.3.0 upwards, that have been introduced and now exceed my current shared hosting plan's capacity?

Sounds like a fairly reasonable deduction, yes.

Thank you for contacting Lunarpages.

Please note that your account is hosted on a shared environment which is running on the operating system Cloud Linux. CloudLinux OS ensures spikes in resource usage will not take down an entire server. Each tenant is given a finite amount of resources which increases stability for everyone on the server. On such environments, each account has a limit of 2% of CPU and 256MB of ram, Top Process of 20% and 50 of max simultaneous connections. When those values are reached by an account the website's loading time will decrease due those limitations. It is just like when you are experiencing high usage of CPU on every host, the speed of that host will go down until the CPU usage drops back to normal. When any of the the limits are reached the server shows a 500IE server error, and generally adds the same error messages you are seeing in your error logs

Also below given is the resource usage statics of your account for the last few days.

It still baffles me somewhat that suddenly, with something to do only with the dashlets in CiviCRM4.3.0, I am going over my shared server's resource limits, and this is normal performance by the dashlets???

I suppose the question is how much did it really change? Perhaps you were using 99% of your resources before and now it's 101% so it's not such a big change.

Maybe it is, but it's not clear either way yet.

Considering these past issues with dashlets after upgrades I still think you guys ought to take a look at this:  http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=19538.0.  Currently, I am able to load the CiviCRM News dashlet, and a couple of donations reports (graphical) dashlets.  However, when I try to load the "Activities" dashlet, I get the previously described errors.  SO some dashlets load consistently, and others never.
