Migrate to local host - access denied
August 01, 2013, 12:33:54 pm
Hi,

I'm stuck! I tried to stripe the companies Drupal and Civi install to work on my localhost.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. The index page renders fine, but any time I attempt to click on any of the links I get 'access denied' errors.

What am I doing wrong?

?q=admin/settings/clean-urls (error message appears through the theme)

?q=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1 (another error message, not through the theme)

?q=civicrm/menu/rebuild?reset=1&directoryCleanup=3 (a different error message to above, again not through the theme)

What am I doing wrong? I've added the Allow Override All entries in the apache conf file. Both the databases are set up correctly (I believe. Could an incorrect DB setting be causing this?).

Is it possible to rebuild the site/clear cache etc (would this be necessary?) without either using drush (can't get it working, which is a separate issue) or the URL links?

Thanks in advance for all help.

Yes! It was a combination of nginx conf issues, and the civi settings. All resolved now, thanks!

For anyone still struggling, the settings I used were:

Temporary Files: /var/www/sites/default/files/civicrm/upload/
Images: /var/www/sites/default/files/civicrm/persist/contribute/
Custom Files: /var/www/sites/default/files/civicrm/custom/
Custom Templates: /var/www/sites/default/civicrm_custom_templates/
Custom PHP Path Directory: /var/www/sites/default/civicrm_custom_php/
CiviCRM Extensions Directory: /var/www/sites/default/extensions/

This is for an install located in /var/www
