Cannot send action Assigned To..

I can send a mail, i can check the mail settings, and there will be send a PHP mail.

But when i want to add an action, and use Assigned To there will be a arror:

mail() returned failure

Does someone has a solution for this?

I have talked to the helpdesk of the domain/hoster. And averything is ok with the settings. So does someone knows how this can be solved/why this is not working?

So i can use send a mail, but if i use Assigned To, there is an error. What is the difference?

Have you configured Outbound Email settings to "SMTP" at http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/setting/smtp?reset=1 ?

you should check with your hosting provider and ask them for smtp credentials.

SMTP all ok, checked with helpdesk.

Sendmail is not supported could that be the reason?

But have you configured SMTP as your Outbound Email?

was this in 4.4.1? there was a bug in sending mail to activity assignee which is fixed for 4.4.2
