Print icon on Thank you and other CiviEvent issues re PayLater and receipts

Under certain conditions (I think if no payment processor is used, eg if PayLater, or if No Charge) when you get to the Thank You page, if you hit Print Icon you get an error (on demo too - try the Summer Camp event http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=22)

Seems to be okay on earlier pages. So think I will plan to tell "pay later' people to Print the "REview Your Details" page as this seems to be the only way currently for them to be able to get a record of 'how to make their payment'


ALso separate issue on Pay Later, should I be able to use 'Pay Later' as a field when searching for Participants, or do they just get wrapped up with other 'Pending' which I presume includes anyone who uses a payment processor which fails?

Being able to separate out people who opted for PayLater would be good in my view.

ALso, when I Edit a participant and send them a confirmation email, it doesn't automatically include the 'price set' therefore doesn't give them a record of what meals etc they booked - so i have to copy this in to the COnfirmation Email (but just spotted that this now contains what I pasted in for a previous person which will cause some problems I am sure if Users forget to overwrite that info each time.)

We've fixed this by eliminating the print icon in the thank you page in v2.1 (not a great solution, but it is related to the way print is implemented)

we dont distinguish between pending and pay later from a contribution status. We should probably think a bit more and distinguish between the two in a future release (maybe 2.1?)

A price set overhaul is planned for 2.2

We found a different solution for giving users an easy prompt to print Registration and Contribution Thank-you pages. Rather than eliminating the Print icon - it's behavior is switched to call the javascript window.print function when clicked (this as the same as if the user clicked File / Print from browser menu).
