CiviRepeat is a module that allows users to clone CiviEvents using a repeat pattern.

Download Drupal 5 package with other dependent modules here: http://www.ninjitsuhosting.com/files/cal-date-civirepeat-modules.tar.gz

Drupal 6 version here: http://ninjitsuweb.com/files/civirepeat-d6.tar.gz (Requires latest official release of Date module. http://drupal.org/project/date)

Beta version is licensed under the GPL v2. http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html

Note that the module is fairly picky about the version of date module you use, and date module development is fairly unstable, in my experience. :-( I hope to remove this dependency eventually.

In the meantime, here is a recommended package including an updated version of CiviRepeat, date module, and a compatible version of calendar module.

Package licensed under GPL v2. No warranty. :-)

Hi,

Just started using CiviCRM, new to Drupal as well, and was missing a repeating events solution.

Just loaded the civirepeat folder into sites/all/modules  it shows up on the drupal admin page, but with this error: "This version is incompatible with the 6.9 version of Drupal core."  Also, installed the latest version of date_api (the one in the package is not compatible with Drupal 6.x), which seems to be it's only dependency.

anyone got an idea how to fix this?

Here's a Drupal 6 compatible version. Use the official recommended version of Date module.

Ok, so CiviRepeat is installed, but I'm not able to figure out how to use this with the event wizard.  Is there something additional I need to configure?

The module provides a block called 'CiviCRM extras' which you may need to enable from your block administrator page. This will provide a link to the Event cloning tool. It does assume that you've already created an event, via the regular CiviEvent interface, that you want to have repeated.

Hey all,

I found this post and it is exactly what we want to do with events.  We are however having an issue getting the block to show up.  We have configured the module and the block actually shows up in every layout except the one we are using (we are using the Chameleon layout).  So my question is how can we make it show up in Chameleon either by adding a new block or by changing settings to get it to appear in our particular layout.  Thanks

It's not a problem with the module if it's showing up in other layouts. It's a problem with your theme.

Check:
1. configure the block and make sure it's not restricted by role or any other permissioning issue
2. is it specifically enabled on your chameleon theme (you can enable/disable blocks on different themes)?
3. if you put it in a different region in chameleon does it show up (try right sidebar/content top/content bottom/ footer / etc)
4. Check to see if it's loading in the html using firebug. if all of the above are not the issue then it's likely something with your chameleon css.

We have made sure the block is enabled for all users (we get to the block by going to a different theme).  The block is not showing up at all for Chameleon (it's not marked as disabled or anything, it's just not there).  When using firebug we came to the conclusion that it is not even trying to load when using the Chameleon theme.

Very odd. Can you post a screenshot of

admin/build/block/list/chameleon

?

Have you modified the theme at all? Is it possible the region was removed from page.tpl.php but not form chameleon.info ?

So when we configured the theme the only actual changes we made were in the css file.  We changed the background color as well as some look and feel related changes (added a bar to separate the header from the rest of the site) as well as minor spacing changes.

Below is the screenshot you requested along with a screenshot of a different theme where the block is showing up.

That's very bizarre. In 2.5 yrs with Drupal, I've never seen that.

As a work around, the path to the civirepeat tool is admin/civirepeat . You could add you own menu item for it.

The CiviCRM Extras block is mainly useful with a series of modules that were theoretically going to make use of it. (It was originally generated by an API module that was a dependency for a couple of my modules.) But I never released the others, so there's not much reason to use it.
