Strings for CiviCRM 4.5 now available on Transifex
August 25, 2014, 06:50:35 am
Following Tim's announcement [1] about the creation of the CiviCRM 4.5 branch in git (tool that manages the CiviCRM source code), I have pushed the new strings introduced in 4.5 to Transifex [2]:

[1] http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,33953.0.html
[2] https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/civicrm/

This release introduces 626 new strings, and about 150 strings were removed following cleanups in the CiviCRM 4.2 (LTS) branch.

Usually the strings in Transifex support the 3 latest versions of CiviCRM. Since 4.2 LTS was an important release, I have left the strings in there for now. This means that if you are using CiviCRM 4.2 or later, you can update your translations using the latest ".mo" files from CiviCRM (civicrm-l10n.tar.gz in the downloads).

If you find any errors in the new strings (typos, things that don't make sense, missing strings, etc), please do not hesitate to post here, so that we fix the original string in the source code.

Thanks Mathieu. I've been keeping an eye on strings and cleaning up some inconsistencies for 4.5 (like External ID vs External Id vs External Identifier). I wish we developers had better tools to help avoid stuff like that though. A plugin for PHPStorm that auto-suggests strings would be killer.
