Export civicrm Contacts and Configuration to other civicrm
June 16, 2008, 06:02:46 am
Hello,

I have installed civicrm 2.0.4 in to diferents servers with Joomla 5 and I want save time and export all my contacts and, if it is posible, civicmembers, contributions, etc from one civicrm to other civicrm.
How can I do this?

Thank you very much

Dave Greenberg

I think the only way to do this is to dump all the civicrm_* tables from server DB 1 and then load them into server DB 2. There are some related instructions under the heading Alternative Order of Operation in the Joomla Upgrade documentation which should help you in doing this (use the 2.0.4 version of civicrm.mysql to create the schema in your second DB).

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Upgrade+Joomla+Sites+to+2.0

Also, you'll probably need to reset some of your configuration settings after loading the data from DB 1. You can get CiviCRM to reset the path related settings by navigating to:
http://<your joomla site>/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1
