Fatal error following 1.6 to 1.7 on Joomla front end
July 04, 2007, 01:47:39 pm
When I try and connect to the CiviCRM Admin page I get the following error:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

Please review the CiviCRM Installation Guide and try searching the CiviCRM Mailing List Archives for information on the error below.

Database Error Code: Table 'insaradm_insar1.civicrm_currency' doesn't exist, 1146

Error Details:

[db_error: message="DB Error: no such table" code=-18 mode=callback callback=CRM_Core_Error::handle prefix="" info="SELECT id, name FROM civicrm_currency ORDER BY name [nativecode=1146 ** Table 'insaradm_insar1.civicrm_currency' doesn't exist]"]

Guess it's obvious that I haven't upgraded the db. Sorry first time doing this. Just not sure how to 'run the script.' I see lots of tables that need adding; do I do this manually or is it done automatically?

Thanks

Please read the upgrade instructions more carefully :)

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=7063

Step 6 gives you the location and format of the file. You will need to load the file into your mysql database using PHPMyAdmin or the mysql shell. If the above does not make sense, please consult your local php/mysql guru
