CiviMail is not sending mails - I'll pay for the fix
February 06, 2009, 10:43:37 pm
Hello,

I am having trouble setting CiviMail in a new site. I have created, installed and setting up everything I could.

The problem is, when I am trying to send mailings from CiviMail (I can send mails form from CiviMember) it just does not send the mailing and put it in a schedule. Then I run the cron and the mailing seems has been sent but it has not, I check my mailbox and nothing happens.

I repeat, there is only problem with CiviMail, my installation is 2.2 beta 1 and I have USD$50 for the one who can help me.

You can contact at contacto(AT)sotomaldonado.com

Hi there,

A couple of questions - you mean that the status of your mailing is set to 'complete' in the civiMail screen?

In the later versions of civiCRM which you are using a key needs to be configured in your civiCRM settings file and used in your URL. A quick documentation search and I didn't find it so maybe you didn't? Just found it - configuring your site key on this page http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMUPCOMING/Command-line+Script+Configuration

If you post the url from your cronjob into a browser do you just get a white screen? and are there any errors in your apache error log?

I was finally only able to send test batch mail by defining the site key as per the posts above and issuing the command string
Code: [Select]
http://<my_site>/civicrm/mailing/queue?reset=1&key=1234567890abcdefg
Running cron didn't work and neither did "Send Immediately," although the first time I ran the command string (without the sitekey), Civi reported the mail as successfully sent.

Yikes! Needless to say, this is really confusing - a lot of hoops to jump through just to send CiviMail.

Hi,

'Send immediately' actually means 'send next time the cronjob runs' as opposed to send next cronjob after a specified time. You need to add that key to the cronjob line to make it work - did you add it there too?
