Possible bug when selecting contacts

If selecting contacts by the letter (ex all last names ending in P) and trying to add them to a group or perform an action with them, instead of selecting the number of contacts listed (ex it says select 16)  instead selects all the records in the database (in the case of the demo its 148 records). 

I think this is a bug. I'm not sure how important the ability to select contacts based on the letter of their last name is.

I see this has been pushed out to 2.4 - just want to re-raise issue that this has potentially major implications if the 'action' a person is about to use is 'delete'!
