Required / optional fields when importing data

Hello,

When importing data, lots of rows are skipped because they're missing some data. For example (doctored data):

Metro,Stephen Bull,,"Surrey Quays Road, London, SE16 7ND",020 7651 5000,020 7651 5000,email@metroaddress.co.uk,
Metro,Mike Bull,,"Surrey Quays Road, London, SE16 7ND",020 7651 5000,020 7651 5000,,

The second line is skipped because we don't have Mike's email address. How can I make that field optional so all the data still comes in?

For Contact Import, the required fields are EITHER:
* First Name AND Last Name

OR

* Email Address

You second record has a "Name" (Mike Bull) - but apparently doesn't separate First and Last names - which may be why it's being rejected. If you are indeed mapping columns for Email Address, First Name and Last Name - then records which meet either of the requirements above SHOULD work. If not, please recreate on the demo site (http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/) and file a bug report in the issue tracker.
