Tabs don't show
August 31, 2009, 06:18:06 am
Hi all -

For some reason my tabs (summary, contributions, pledges, etc.) are no longer showing on my contact view screen
(http://domain/index.php?q=civicrm/contact/view&reset=1&cid=475).  I'm not sure exactly when they stopped showing.

I've confirmed on the "Settings - Site Preferences" page that everything is checked.  And I've looked at the demo site and I can't see what I have different.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Can you give details about your CiviCRM install and which browser do you use ?

Hi - Thanks for the interest.  CiviCRM 2.2 on Drupal 6.13, I've tested in both Firefox 3.5.2 and IE 8.0, same behavior in both. - Anne

Re: Tabs don't show

I've discovered some more information on this.  When I originally set up this site, the domain name hadn't been set up yet, so I used a temporary URL provided by my host formated as IP/mydomain~.   When I use that URL the tabs show perfectly, otherwise they don't.

So there must be setting somewhere that I need to correct to be the real domain name.  Any suggestions or ideas?

Also, I've noticed that sometimes civicrm switches me back and forth, so I start at www.mydomain.com/civicrm/  and in the process of working I notice the address bar now says http://33.33.33.33/mydomain~/cvicrm/   I suspect this is a related issue.

OK - I did all the steps and have re-checked, but I must be missing something, many url's seem to be duplicated so I get for example:

http://www.mydomain.com/civicrm/menu/www.mydomain.com/civicrm/dashboard?reset=1

Can you point me in the right direction please?  BTW - I did initially have the CIVICRM_UF_BASEURL set with my domain www.mydomain.com instead of my url http://www.mydomain.com. But I repeated the steps with the correct URL, and still have this problem.

(BTW - I have rebuilt my menus multiple times since that seemed intuitively to be the problem, but no luck.)

I had done that as per the process, and just did it again now.  No change, all links in the CRM navigation still have the double domain in the URL.

Hmm.  I'd hope to learn from doing this myself.  Would it be reasonable to back up my database, uninstall CiviCRM, delete the database and reinstall CiviCRM?
