Confirmation Email not Automated
September 10, 2009, 09:32:23 pm
We are using CiviCRM version 2.2.8 in Standalone Mode, and we are unable to get the automatic confirmation email to work.  We have to go in manually to the registered attendee to the event and manually send them the confirmation email of which should have been sent upon completion of the registration.  I have checked all the email settings and verified them, and they are all correct.

So my question is how do we get this to work?

It worked fine in 2.2.7 but not in 2.2.8.  SO did they remove something?

I shouldn't have to integrate a patch to fix something that worked in a previous version.

I will just revert back to 2.2.7 until this is fixed in another version.  This kind of service is inexcusable and downright insulting.  I have spent over 4 hours trying to get this to work, and the issue is all because of a bug that was introduced.  Maybe you should recall all versions of 2.2.8 from the mirrors and fix the issue then release it to the public.

Apologies for inconvenience. We 'll talk to the team and take a call.

Could you just confirm if its a free event registration ?

Yes it is a Free Event, and it worked flawlessly in 2.2.7 but not in 2.2.8 when all settings and configurations are the same as they were in the prior version.
