Pootle is a webbased tool, but maybe it's much work for the programmers to keep it working and will it be better with another tool.

All the tools we’re considering are web-based, it’s just that some of them make it much easier for the community to coordinate (and, potentially, allow for moving most of the task of managing translations to the community).

But I would like to have a new version of the translations in sourceforge.

I’ll regen the translations as soon as I fix the issues that you found (thanks a lot for reporting them!).

I think it is good idea to start using the pootle-files again.

We now have the situation that one of the best translations is not longer updated. In pootle you can see that the number of total lines is lower than all the other languages because it is not being updated with the new sources.

My remarks about quotes and newlines are for all the languages.

I think that the discussion about individual translations is good, but it is a never-ending-story.  By each release we will get a discussion, i hope about different lines.

(I think this has been taken care of by Erik, but just to make sure: we’ve moved to Transifex and I turned off Pootle, while making sure all contributed translations are either committed or sent to the relevant language coordinators.)
