OK. It is done.  I have been testing the software for a few hours, seems to be OK.

Most of the functionality was almost done, hibernating in the code. All I had to do was to include the filtering logic and a few changes here and there to deal with interface details.

Please tell me how to send you the code. I´d rather send the (four) modified files in full, since the last time I built a patch was about 20 years ago and I do not quite remember how to do make patches.

please file an issue along with the unified patch (diff -u) for those 4 files. A description of how/what/why you did it would also help
