I, too, would be really interested if there was a fairly simple way to implement discounts/coupons for events.

We're a small theatre company, and on our previous platform we're able to offer different promotional discount codes to be entered when the patron is registering for a performance. I'm hoping there's a way to achieve that in CiviEvent without having to hire a professional developer.

I'll study the info in the links here more closely, but any suggestions or help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks! I found it shortly after I posted here, and have now installed and implemented it.

My question now is whether there is a way to limit the number of registrations per use of coupon. We are a small professional theatre company, and we will be using Events for ticketing/admissions purposes for performances and special events. We use the discounts for promotions and partner programs, such as offering the local Drama School 10 pairs of tickets to each performance. It would be great if there was a way to limit the coupon to 10 uses as well as limit it to two registrations per use, so students would be limited to only one pair of tickets per order. the way it stands now, ten students could register for comp 20 tickets each.

Any idea if this is something in development, or whether we would need to find someone to customize the module for us? Thanks for your assistance!

Suzanne

you might want to post on the issue queue for that module (in drupal.org).

Might also want to read: http://civicrm.org/blogs/dharmatech/add-coupons-events-module

and help sponsor dharmatech to enhance that module with your needs
