Unable to link Drupal Location module with Civi location

Drupal 6.17 - Civi 3.1.5

This is very confusing - both the first forum post at http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,9501.0.html and http://drupal.org/node/39641 seem to indicate that location information from Civi profiles can automatically populate the Drupal location module.

I've been working on this for two days now without success. I need Location to work both in Drupal and Civi for reasons I won't go into here, but it looks like the only way to make this happen would be to have the user enter the address info twice, which would be bogus.

I've seen http://drupal.org/node/479330, but it looks like a lot of mucking around for something that's supposedly already implemented. Am I missing something here? Is there a patch somewhere? (There was a patch for an earlier version of Location.) If the Rules method is the way to go, what would be the proper syntax? (I'm using the User Profile - uprofile - content type from Advanced Profile Kit.)

Any help here would be greatly appreciated - thanks much!

I think location module integration seems to be old and might be broken with current CiviCRM release. So you can either upgrade location code or you might have to extend Rule integration check http://civicrm.org/node/676
