Would you be as kind as to explain it for me in which files did you include this script?
I can not set up my live site because of this error: Cannot redeclare _PEAR_call_destructors()

I download CiviCRM, unpack the archive and then run that script from within the top-level directory.  The script needs to run on a Linux/Unix machine.

I had this problem when running update.php after a series of updates to Drupal today, but when I reset my browser here, everything now seems to be running OK. I'm not running the plugin module mentioned in other threads, but I am running the print module.

Civicrm 3.4.0 and Drupal 6.20
PHP 5.2.17
MySQL 5.0.90

Cheers
Chris

For me too, I had this problem, some combination of clearing cache (drupal as well as my browser cache), made this problem go away. Weird.

if anyone find this thread looking for a solution, this seems to work for me (putting civicrm's pear package in your php.ini include_path):
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,16093.msg70721.html#msg70721
I had this issue because I enabled the mail mime drupal module.
