IATS processes payment, but transaction is not recorded in Civi
July 14, 2010, 05:49:01 pm
I have been using IATS/drupal 6.16/Civi 3.1.4 with success for some time now.  This weekend, I upgraded to drupal 6.17.  Suddenly, memberships/contributions which are paid by a credit card are mishandled.

1.  The payment IS submitted to IATS.
2.  No record made in Civi of either the transaction or the newly purchased membership.

There are also no errors on the drupal side.  I have turned on debugging in Civi to see if something appears on a new payment (need to submit a new payment to test which is up to my client).

Note that if membership is upgraded with a 'pay later' option, then the information makes it through to Civi just fine, an email is sent, etc.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?  I am a bit mystified.

I'm going to guess that something other than the Drupal upgrade is responsible for the change in behaviour.

If it's going through to IATS but not being recorded in Civi, it sounds like it's failing part way through the processing - maybe out of memory or something like that?

Did you check the civicrm log and the apache log for clues?
