Hi,

3.2.0 has been in production on my side and works well.

3.2.1 has a little bug in the upgrade process, but works fine on a fresh install... that doesn't solve your problem, I'm fully aware ;)

Greetings xavier: How's progress on getting some sort of at least a work-around? We are still "holding"... Thanks!

I have rolled back to 3.1.6.

I'll be looking for some better understanding of the differences in CiviMail configuratino and the implementation of civimail.cronjob.php, such as why the cron doesn't fail, but neither do messages get sent.

I was able to successfully apply 3.2.1... however it took going all the way back to the last good backup of Drupal 5 and Civi 2.0.7! (As that is where we were starting from, thus the last full backup.)

Along the way I ended up slamming into a v2.0.7 -> v2.1.6 bug of "Unknown column 'locales' in 'field list'". I found this thread:

"Upgrade error Drupal / WAMP install"
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=4752.0

but could not reply the correct solution in our case. Seems the second time I was going through the upgrades, I was neglecting the "9. Run the Upgrade script" which was http://<your_drupal_home>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/install/upgrade.php?reset=1 and that took care of that strange error message.

"One extra stink'n line of code caused all of that trouble.... ggggrrrr!!!!" (head shaking)

A note of thanks goes to dlobo in the IRC for being willing to show me how to attempt to run the rest of the updates in an effort to circumvent this big task. I was running updates, and got to one where "it was time to wave the white flag and surrender to the roll-back task". I really appreciate them being willing to go the extra mile!  :)

@mdlueck - if the method for applying the DB updates manually lobo gave you isn't already documented somewhere, that would be great to have written up here so we can get it over to the wiki.

@xurizaemon: Since I do not know if it works, as I bumped into the complicated updated, then there is nothing known to document.
