Being able to invite civi is definitely a great idea. The Email To activity already exists, that's "simply" a matter of reading the ical or whatever attachment the invitation contains.

And/or having a one click "add to civi" from the view. On that one, finding the other participants as contacts might be trickier, unless that's in the ical feed?

Hi,

We are using Civi in our organisation. Ours is a IT company. We manage all our contacts, related followups, sale and payments using civi.

We have staff club also the members of the staff clubs are manged by using civimember.

We manage our public and non public events using civevents.

We store our staff data also in they apply for leave using civi activities.

I feel it it is a great system.

off course  we have achieve this by add a little customisation. We have successfully implemented and customise civi for more than 23+ our customers.
