I've just been adding an event (to civicrm.org in fact) and I realised that in order to test drive it I had to first activate it, making it public.
It just seems a little strange that you must make the event live when by definition, if you are testing it, it's because it may well not be ready to be put live.

Just a thought. I'm afraid I personally can't do anything about it  but maybe it's a quick fix worth fixing, or maybe it's like that for a reason - I'd be interested to know the reason if this is the case.
