We'd like to make use of SIC codes for organisations - we can look them up on Companies House and it tells us what they do and that's very useful.

Thing is that almost every organisation we work with have more than one SIC code. Consequently we've set up a custom field, which seems pretty odd!

I have often wondered how much these fields are used, as I suspect they are not used at all by those of us outside the US, and we'd much prefer a "Registration Number" to help keep track of an organisation who may change their name from time to time, but is the same legal entity as reflected by their company number.

As this is also a field often required to be on an invoice for tax compliance purposes (GST/VAT in particular), can we look to add this in addition to the SIC code? (Yes, I am currently working on that updated CiviAccounts schema and hope to have it up on the wiki within an hour or so).
