THANKS! It's good to have it figured out, at least.

I am in the midst of trying to support a legislative action. Is 2.0 going to release today?

For funding...yeah, that is always a problem. I am low on the learning curve, unfortunately. Most of the people I know who might support Civi are Drupal users, and wouldn't likely be interested in anything to make the Joomla bits work better, unfortunately.

If you open up the cronjob file in the bin directory, try changing line 51 from "true" to "false" (so that it doesn't authenticate the script). I've had some success with that in the past to fix the problem with the user/pwd not accepting Joomla credentials.
