Its not urgent - just would be a nice to have (and I got inspired to try to get it into 2.1) - there is an easy workaround in that I can write the html by hand or in an editor and paste into that window. One thing that did concern me, looking at dojo, was that it didn't seem to have the ability to view the text area as source, hence it looked like I was limited to putting only what HTML tags dojo could supply me with into that text area.

We will be re-evaluating our choice of WYSIWYG editors in the 2.1 development cycle depending on how things evolve w/ the dojo tool. One of the criteria going forward will be the ability to view / edit HTML source.

Thats really good news. What would be really cool would be to just extend the wysiwyg editor from (say) drupal right into civicrm. Since Civicrm runs as a Drupal module, this should, in theory, be possible. Maintaining a single wysiwyg editor is easier than maintaining two. I would hazard a guess that providing FCK and TinyMCE support would cover the majority of requests....
