OK - so how do I find/apply those necessary patches?

Easiest way is to upgrade to 3.4 which was released yesterday. All fixes for that issues are included.

Harder way is to go through the commits listed in the issue tracker under the "Fisheye" tab and grab / apply diffs for each commit and file that was changed:

Wow, I totally missed the 3.4 release.

Thanks for the response.

Old topic but totally on topic for me.

For myself, I'd prefer a March 30, 2011 start date

having finally had to set up a client with Fixed and Rollover (but am working on them to change to Rolling!!) I would agree.
Membership cycle is Jul 1 to Jun 30 with May 1 as Rollover.

So people joining 'today' ie Jun 24 are showing as Member Start Date Jul 1 2010 ie last year - which I understand is the beginning of the 'current cycle'

but would it break any core rules to have that

IF 'join date' is in Rollover period, then Start Date is set to same as Join Date?

But at least for backend we can just copy Join Date to Start Date without upsetting anything.

So I guess for this client, given there are only a couple of days left in this year's rollover period, I have until May 1 next year to try and win this argument  ;D

Pete,

I think I need to do the same 'back end copy Join Date to Start Date' you mention. I was planning to use hooks, but I'd love to hear other suggestions for 'best practices.'
