Dashlets broken after upgrade - deja vu
April 18, 2011, 07:17:06 am
I remember having this problem after upgrading a few months back as well, and this was the issue Kiran said was causing it.
http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-7087

Now having this problem once again with 3.4/J1.5.23, the attendee listing is throwing a db error (no such field) and the Activities is loading the entire Joomla admin, header sidebars navigation and all, with the dashboard configuration screen loaded in the main body instead.

Has this been identified already, or should I file an issue?

Can you try re-adding dashlet and check if that solves the problem.

Thanks

No such luck. I even tried adding them from a user that had not previously had the dashboard configured, and same result. It keeps loading the dashboard configuration with the entire joomla site in each dashlet container. Also causes JS to break, so dashboard configuration button doesn't work after. I have also set the dashboard cache time to 5 to see if that would fix it but no luck. Refresh dashboard data doesn't do anything either except load the same thing.

This is still occurring after updating to the stable release yesterday, so I should probably post this elsewhere?

We tested 3.3 to 3.4 upgrade with dashlets enabled on Dashboard and it worked fine. Can you provide more details your issue.

Thanks

I had upgraded from 3.3 to 3.4 beta3 initially when this first appeared. We have multiple users with configured dashboards, and all of them no longer work. I uninstalled and re-installed 3.4 beta3, no effect. Upgraded to 3.4 stable, no effect. Cleared cache, setup new dashboard with new user, refreshed dashboard data, all have the same result. The screen shot below is what all of our dashboards display no matter what I attempt, and it isn't even functional. Can't disable the dashlets at all without deleting them manually from DB.
The only external factors that changed between 3.3 and now is we disabled SEF after encountering far too many problems with it, Joomla was upgraded from 1.5.20 to 1.5.23, and I had enabled Page Speed optimization but disabling it has no effect either.

websitesRevolt:
Can you try deleting your media/civicrm/templates_c folder ?

Erik: let's discuss this on irc

I had already done this multiple times, this is always the last step everytime I upgrade and one of the first things I try when quirks occur like this.
But just for grins I did it anyway, and as expected same result.

I have the same problem. After the upgrade, the activity dashlet doesn't show any data (activities are certainly there).

I tried to both clear the cache files and the remove and add the dashlet again.

I also think, there is a problem with the dashlet handling overall. When I remove the activities dashlet (by pressing the "x" right within the dashboard) and reload the page, the dashlet is there again. Also, the drag & drop in the dashboard configuration doesn't seem to work for me.

Can you attach screenshot here. Are you getting any js errors?

When the dashboard loads, I get these two errors:

Error: cj("#contact-activity-selector-" + context).dataTable is not a function
Source File: /civicrm/dashboard?reset=1
Line: 51

Error: $(".column").sortable is not a function
Source File: /sites/sitename/files/js/js_4c847bce570ae674c0962ab6a282adba.js
Line: 4576

When extend the dashlet to the full width, I get the first error too.

I attached the screen shot too from after extending the dashlet to its full width.
